Seriously, check my mailing list. Many of the people who were here have
moved over. We get posts (mostly intelligent) and don't have to wade through
spam. See below:

Hello Hockey Fans!

Are you a fan of the Florida Panthers Hockey Club or one of their affiliated
teams or prospects? Do you want updates on your favourite team? Are you
interested in box scores, team press releases, roster changes, team
functions, off-season news, or just meeting and interacting with fellow
fans? Do you ever wonder about that new player your team just acquired? Are
you growing tired of wading through the junk-filled sports Usenet groups?
Well, you've found the right place! Welcome to the sources for all Panther
and Panther Affiliate & Prospect related news. With the cooperation of some
of the teams, you can even get team press releases delivered right to your
e-mail box.

There are three distinct e-mail lists and all are totally free of charge!
One is devoted solely to the NHL's Florida Panthers Hockey Club. Another is
devoted solely to the Florida Panthers' affiliated teams (AHL Rampage, ECHL
Lynx) in addition to Panther prospects on other teams. The third is devoted
to the WHA2's Miami Manatees (as well as the retired ECHL Matador alumni)
franchise. You can join one, two, or aa, of the lists and get your news
fast, frequent, and free. Just follow the simple directions below and your
Florida Panthers, Panther Affiliates & Prospects, or Miami Hockey news will
be delivered to your e-mail box regularly. If you have concerns about the
amount of e-mail this list generates, write the "human response" address in
the join now section.

It's another hockey night in South Florida: don't be left behind with the
rats! Be one step ahead of everyone else. Join the most respected fan-run
mailing lists in the hockey world now! Join now!

The Panther's need to get more exciting. I cant believe what they are
asking for lower bowl seats this year!
$90 - no way, they dont even have a major star on the team and demand
that kind of money.

I stopped going to the games cause of crap like this.

$90 for a good seat, $10 to park and I haven't had a beer yet!

Check your facts -- You can get lower bowl seats as low as $53 per regular
season game. And for the top of the lower bowl on the side with the penalty
boxes, my favorite spot in that arena, it's $63 per regular season game.

If you want to say the entire season ticket layout is too heavy, no argument
here. But the only tix that cost $90 per game would put you within a few rows
of the glass -- which is a nice view for a game or two, but lousy for watching
games over an entire season.

Thanks for the heads up, I was told they were $90, which is way too high!

My favorite seats are actually where the handicap people get to sit, in
that area.

Top seating is just too far up. I actually miss the old arena when it
comes to seating.

The first five rows of the upper deck are actually EXCELLENT especially in
the corners. That's where I sit. As C says, most real fans don't want to be
near the glass as you lose too much perspective.
